The Canistota School District is looking to train a food service substitute.
Job Duties Include:
1. Prepares Food.
2. Sets up serving line.
3. Serves food.
4. Cleans serving and preparation area.
5. Washes dishes, pots, and pans.
6. Restores order to serving area.
7. Adheres to District safety procedures.
9. Preforms other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The cross country team would like to thank everyone who supported their recent fundraiser! The team has grown by four since the last Hot Dog run! The cross country team was able to raise nearly $1,900! Thank you and congratulations to all of the raffle winners!


The Canistota Entrepreneurship class is on their way to creating their own small business. In this class the students must create a small business from start to finish that they will run all school year. We would appreciate your help by looking at the attached survey of entrepreneur Hannah Hoffman. Hannah is starting a business called SoDak Scents and would like some input from potential customers. We appreciate your input and willingness to support our students.

The kickoff time for Friday’s football game against Hanson at home has been moved to 5:00 PM.

Parents of MS/HS band students attending the marching band competition on Friday, September 22, please make sure your child has black marching shoes and money for lunch. The bus will leave around 8:20-8:30.

The Tim and Heidi Buseman family donated nineteen Usborne books to our library. The students are super excited to receive these nice hardcover books. Pictured are the second graders enjoying the new additions to the library.


Last week Mrs. Decker and Mrs. Merill's 3rd graders attended SOFY (Save Our Farm Youth) Day in Salem. The MCM FFA presented different stations where students were educated about farm safety and how to be safe around electricity. Students also enjoyed the petting zoo.


Thursday we are serving Pumpkin Muffins for breakfast with your choice of Cherry Vanilla or Peach yogurt. Add a fruit, juice, or milk to your tray for a delicious start to your morning!
