Hawks Football on Friday: Please note changes due to heat!! Friday, September 4th, our football games in Chester have some changes! Come cheer on the Varsity Hawks football team as they take on the Chester Flyers, in Chester! The varsity game will now be at 7pm (previously 6pm!) due to the heat index throughout the day! The Middle School game will be postponed and a make-up date is in the works. We will update you with further details once they have been solidified!!

Military Appreciation Night
There will be an informational robotics meeting for parents and students (grades 6-12) on Thursday, September 3rd, at 6:30 PM, in the middle school science room (Mrs. Pierson's room). We will have forms and information to hand out to parents and students, including the challenge for this year and important dates (Kickoff is September 19th in Brookings!). If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Eichmann or Mr. Wicks.

Annual Hearing Screenings
The Canistota School District, in cooperation with the Cornbelt Educational Cooperative, will conduct its annual hearing screenings.
The South Dakota Services for the Deaf (SDSD) will provide free hearing screenings for Canistota students in Kindergarten and grades 1, 3, 5, 7, and 11 on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
If your child does not pass the initial hearing screening, school staff will contact you with the results. Rescreening or additional testing may be completed at no charge with a pediatric audiologist at:
